Beloved Pomeranian "Scottie" left us to go to Doggy Heaven. Scottie was such a good boy. He was the perfect dog. He was intelligent, mellow, forgiving and very adaptable.

"Sir Scott" came from a native village in Alaska. His first owners feared he would be attacked by the bigger sled dogs. We answered the newspaper ad and he was placed on a small bush plane and flown to Anchorage when he was just under a year old.

He was timid in the car, but eventually began moving closer and closer to my husband during the drive home; that little sign of acceptance started a bond between them that was never broken.

I think the most "trouble" Scottie ever found himself in was the day he and his brother dog decided to roll in a pile of fish guts they found along the river. Ugh! It was a long, smelly drive home with two very stinky (but happy) dogs!

Scottie's idea of a good time was sleeping on the entry floor in the sun, taking long rides in the car, and going camping & fishing with his "mom and dad." He never left our camp site and never chased other dogs or kids that walked by. He loved little kids and shared his kisses, he never jumped up on them.

When it was time to put our baby to sleep, we cried for days. However, with all his health problems, we knew it was the best thing to do. He will always be missed and deeply loved. Our hearts are broken. "Pooh" dog, We Love You - Forever.

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
