According to pg. 45 of the typed copy of the Harry Rush Speer genealogy in the New Lexington Public Library, Reuben & Mary were married in PA shortly before they migrated to OH and Mary was a daughter of Jacob Ketchum. This genealogy was compiled around 1936. It says that Reuben & Mary were buried at the rear of the Old Baptist Church at New Lexington, Ohio.

Mary was listed in the 1860 and 1870 census records with an age that aligned with the age of her husband. That might have been her age, but it needs a better source than census records to be more confident about that.
