Daughter of William Erby Coker and Ethel Louise Yearout. Married to Kenneth E. Byrd.Betty Jeanne Coker Byrd, age 86, left this earthly home on Monday, September 5, 2011, for a reunion with her Saviour and those who have gone on before. She was a member of Armona Baptist Church where she started membership as a young girl. Preceded in death by: parents, Ethyl & Erby Coker; Siblings, Walter Coker, Myrtle Wilkinson, and Louise Teffeteller. Survivors include: Husband of 65 years, Kenneth E. Byrd; Son & Daughter-in-law, Ken & Chris Byrd; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Karla & Tom Kirby and Karen & Reed Morgan; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; Sisters, Mary Blanche Brown, Nell Farr, and Bobbie Ramsey. The Byrd family would like to thank the staff at Fairpark Healthcare, Dr. John Ingram and nurse, Alma, and Julee and Mark Clark and other who contributed great care for Betty during her long illness. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A Celebration of Betty's Life will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bob Lawson officiating. A private burial was held on Tuesday.
