Caryl W. Clark, 96, of Elburn and formally of Huntley and Elgin passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center in St. Charles. She was born March 7, 1920 the daughter of Howard James and Olivene (Bumsted) Walkington. On September 8, 1942 she graduated from Evanston Hospital School of Nursing with a degree as a Registered Nurse. On July 13, 1943 she married Robert Clark.

She was very active in her church, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the quilting group. Caryl was very dedicated and devoted to her family, she loved gardening, pottery, painting, and traveling with her husband. She was an avid golfer getting a hole in one at the age of 88 and it was on the same hole as her husband got his last hole in one.

She is survived by her children, David (Betty), Steven (Maria), Donald (Amy), and Kim; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy (Plimmer), Barbara (Markey); brothers, Glenn (Sara) Walkington, and George (Lura) Walkington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert on Dec. 7, 2007; daughter, Cynthia on June 2, 2004; sisters, Shirley(Scheele), and (Lois Hansen); and brothers, Howard and Robert Walkington.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Aug 6, 2016 at 2 pm at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St, Huntley. Private family burial.

Visitation will be prior to services from 1- 2 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be directed to the First United Methodist Church Women's Quilters Organization of Elgin ILL.
