Donald K. Lewis, 95, of Jasper Road Piketon, Ohio, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at his home. He was born July 4, 1921 in Defiance, Ohio, son of the late Herman A. and Donna Glenn Lewis. On February 17, 1945 Donald was united in marriage to Virginia Bonzo Lewis who preceded him in death September 30, 1994. He is survived by one daughter and husband of Waverly, Ohio; three grandchildren; a great grandson; a great granddaughter; a sister of Waverly, Ohio; and cherished Janet. In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Lewis, a brother Robert Eugene Lewis, and a sister, Ruth Lewis Sakal.

Donald was a retired school teacher, and was a WWII Army veteran.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Haden Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, in Piketon, Ohio with military honors by American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
