Vella Tanner Stevenson, 103, passed away July 13, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was born on December 3, 1893 in Provo, Utah to Henry S. and Laura L. Woodland Tanner. Married A. H. `Heinie' Stevenson, Jr. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1992. She was a member of The Gray Ladies during World War II. She was an active member of the LDS Church and active in the PTA.She is survived by her son, Robert T. Stevenson; daughters, Elizabeth J. Stevenson and Natalie Rittenhouse, all of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 21, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street. Friends and family may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to services.
