Connie Leah Beaver Parker, 60,of Hurricane, passed away Tuesday, July26, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
Born Sept.27, 1955 in Hurricane, she was a daughter of Mable Ilene Dent Beaver of Hurricane and the late Hubert Beaver, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Rusty E. Beaver; paternal grandparents, Hubert and Rinda Lunsford Beaver, Sr; and maternal grandparents, James Melvin
and Sabie Ann Johnson Dent. Connie worked for many years with her husband with Globe and United American Life Insurance Companies, Hurricane. She was a Christian and had a great love for animals, especially dogs and horses. In addition to her mother, Connie is survived by her husband,
Marion Parker, Sr.;her son Benjamin Scott Newlin of Hurricane; step-children, Marion Parker, Jr.(Deanna)of Southport, N.C; Teresa Veit (Tony) of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.;
Tammy Baker (Jeff) of Sanfred, N.C.; and Jennifer Ruggles (Tim) of Dunn; sisters, Deborah Beaver of Hurricane and Rinda An Miller of Madison; step-grandchildren, Andrew and
Sarah Parker, Parker and Megan Veit, Lisa Dow and Amy and Timothy Ruggles; step-great- granddaughter, Renee Ruggles;
as well as nieces, Stephanie Houghtaling and Jennifer Miller
,and nephews, Brandon Miller. The family would like to acknowledge the love and compassion shown to Connie during her illness, especially her uncle and aunt, Clinton ''Bud''
and Xylphia Beaver. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, July 30, at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with
the Rev. Leonard May officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be held one
