Esther Talamo, 97, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she moved to New Jersey in 2005. Esther will be remembered for her kind, warm heart and beautiful smile. She was a fantastic cook, known for her lasagna, and played a major role in raising everyone in her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Talamo in 2006; siblings, Louis Gallucci, Anna Macri and Marie Cavallo; and son-in-law, Anthony Lauro. Esther is survived by her children, Robert Talamo and his wife, Phyllis of Brooklyn, and Patricia Lauro of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Nicholas Lauro, and his wife Diane, Lindsay Pizzutiello and her husband, Albert, and Melissa Talamo; great grandchildren, Connor Lauro, Ava Pizzutiello, Anthony Pizzutiello and John Patrick Lauro; and her devoted sister, Jo Avino of Freehold Township.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM for procession to her 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
