Cleeton, Mildred Mildred Cleeton passed away December 13, 2015 at the age of 101 in St Augustine, FL. She was born in Huntsville, MO, December 21, 1913 to Mary Kaufman Nardine and Joseph Nardine. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Cleeton, in 1934. Mildred made her homes where Ken taught as he advanced his career as an educator in Jefferson City, MO, Boulder, CO, Williamsburg, VA, and Ypsilanti, MI, where she lived for 49 years. Following Ken's death in 1968, Mildred worked in the financial aid department of Eastern University until her retirement in 1980. She was an active member of the Ladies Literary Club of Ypsilanti and the Ann Arbor City Club. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed world travel, but most of all loved her friends and family. Mildred was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Joseph Nardine, son, William J. Cleeton, and her husband, Kenneth Cleeton Sr. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Cleeton Jr., and wife Nicolette, daughter, Susan Cleeton Hunter, and her husband Dana, grandchildren, Wade Cleeton, his wife Percita, and Kelli Cleeton Mc Kinney, her husband Thomas, and great grandchildren, Chayse, Priscilla and William Cleeton, and Carter and Tobin McKinney. She will be buried August 15, 2016 at Washtenong cemetery alongside Kenneth. In remembrance of Mildred, a donation can be made to the Kenneth Cleeton Teacher Endowed Scholarship Fund at Eastern Michigan University.
