Vietnam Mine Explosion Takes Bountiful GI, 19

  BOUNTIFUL — Spec. 4 Kenneth L. Jones, 19, Bountiful, died Sept. 18 in Vietnam of injuries suffered in a mine explosion.
  Jones entered the service on Nov. 12, 1969. he was serving with Company C, 159 Air Service Helicopter Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division.
  He was a member of the Bountiful DeMolay, holding the office of junior counselor.
  He was active in the Boy Scout program in Eureka, Juab County, and a member of the Bountiful Community Church. He attended Bountiful High School and Centerville Junior High School, where he participated in athletics.
  He was born May 8, 1952 in Nephi, Juab County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Buster I. Jones. Survivors include his parents; one brother and two sisters, Allen R., Salt Lake City; Tamera R., Sarinda L., both Bountiful; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. I. Jones, Payson; Mrs. Martha Long, Orem; Mrs. Rovina Stones, Woods Cross; great-grandmother, Mrs. Annie M. Anderson, Salt Lake City.
