Edward Stackhouse is Taken by Death
Edward Stackhouse, 75, retired farmer, died Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the home of a son, Ernest Stackhouse, in Battle Ground. He had been ailing for the past year.
Born in Lafayette, March 17, 1861, he was a son of Nathan and Margaret (Cuppy) Stackhouse, early residents. On Aug. 7, 1889, he married Mary Alice Bower, who died in 1910. For a number of years Mr. Stackhouse farmed near Lafayette. He leaves three children, Miss Evaline Stackhouse, Indianapolis, and Ernest and Dewey Stackhouse of Battle Ground, also five grandchildren and a brother, Nathan Stackhouse, of Logansport.
The body was removed to the Rogers and Smith funeral home, where friends may call after 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Services will be held there Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Bosse and Rev. Walker officiating. Interment in Sand Ridge cemetery.
