GRACE LOCKWOOD (LONG) HOWE

Mrs. Grace Howe Dies Friday

Mrs. Grace L. Howe, 75, a resident of the Astoria area all of her life, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday at Graham Hospital in Canton. She had been a patient there four weeks.

Mrs. Howe was born Feb. 3, 1890, near Bader, a daughter of Charles F. and Olive May Stambach Long. She married Thomas E. Howe on Dec. 22, 1910 at St. Louis.

Surviving are her husband, seven sons and daughters, Max Howe of Macomb, Herbert Howe and Mrs. Onilee Merrill of Astoria, Miss Pierapont Howe, at home, Mrs. Melva Bucher, of Abingdon, Mrs. June Scott of Independence, Mo., and Charles Howe of Lewistown; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson, and two sisters, Mrs. Adda Geiman and Mrs. Hazel Welker, both of Astoria. One daughter, one sister and three brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. The Rev. Forrest Wise officiated and burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
