Jerry V. Allen, 89. of Ashdown, AR passed away July 24, 2016
Mr. Allen was born January 23, 1927 in Wichita Falls, TX to Jerry Van and Eula Burns. He was an Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leah Allen of Ashdown, AR; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Van and Shelia Allen of Dallas, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy L. and Bruce Huckaba of Houston, TX; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Ashdown Memorial Gardens in Ashdown, AR under the direction of Madden Funeral Home.

**Jerry was such an inspiration to all that knew him...it brings tears to my eyes knowing that I will not be able to hug him and tell him that I love him again but I am sure that he is in a much better place.....he was a dedicated Christian man. Ms Leah my heart breaks for you....my thoughts and prayers are with you....I am here if you need anything..I love you so much.
