Caleb Junior Powers, age 65, of Powers Branch Road, Barbourville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin. He was born on April 12, 1951 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late James Lewis Powers and Fleda Rose Mullis Powers. He was also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Mary Jane Patterson; mother and father-in-law, Arnold and Lillian Carr; brother, H.D. Powers; sister, Amelia Hill; three brothers-in-law, Rev. Tim Baute, Bradley Hill Jr. and William Curnutt; two nephews, Lonnie Powers and James Powers.
He is survived by his wife, Millie Powers of Barbourville; two sisters, Nancy Mays and Rosa Curnutt of Barbourville; three sisters-in-law, Sylvia Hill of Rockholds, Ann McKiddy (Jim) and Barbara Baute of Williamsburg; special niece, Rosie Miller of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews: and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Lowe and Rev. Elmo Kelly Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Powers Family Cemetery.
