James Lewis "Jim" Powers, 78, Gausdale, died Saturday, February 12, 1977, at the Pineville Community Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fleda Powers; three daughters, Mrs. Ova (Amelia) Hill, Williamsburg; Mrs. William (Rosa) Curnutt, Gausdale, and Mrs. Coleman (Mary) Mays, Barbourville; two sons, H.D. Powers and Caleb Powers, Gausdale; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Croley Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Bill Chiloress and the Rev. Hickey.

Burial will be in the Powers Family Cemetery.
