Mr. William A. Chesnut, 69 years old, native of Laurel county, died Saturday at his home in Grays
following several months of illness.
Funeral services were held at the Grays Holiness Church Monday afternoon with the Rev. Garrett White officiating. Interment followed in the Grays Cemetery.
A son of the late Blevins and Mary Ann Blakely Chesnut, he was station agent for the L&N at Emanuel.
Later in life he was salesman for the Starks Nursery at Grays, where he had made his home for the last thirty years.
One of ten children, Mr. Chesnut is survived by only one brother, Rev. C.F. Chesnut, of this place.
A brother and sister died only one day apart about one year ago.
He also leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Chesnut,
three sons and six daughters, Zora D. Chesnut, Corbin; A.B. Chesnut, Loyall; H.E. Chesnut, Plattsburg, New York; Mrs. Everett Bengey, Grays Knob; Mrs. T.E. Dizney and Mrs. M.F. Oaks, Loyall; Misses Atha, ALma and Aileen Chesnut, Grays.
