Daughter of William Junkins and Jennie Kane. When her half-sister, Emma, wife of Michael P. Sullivan, became ill with tuberculosis, Tessie went to Pittsburgh to nurse Emma and care for her 3 young sons: William, Joseph, and Raymond. Emma died in 1893. Tessie and Michael were married 28 December 1896. They had two children— Helen Sullivan Held and Harold Vincent Sullivan—before she also succumbed to consumption.

SULLIVAN - On Thursday, Novemeber 29, 1900, at 6:30 p.m., at the family residence, 7422 Susquehanna street, East End, Teresa JUNKINS, wife of Michael Sullivan, in her 26th year. Funeral on Sunday, December 2, at 2 p.m. Services at Holy Rosary church, Kelly street, East End, at 2:45 p.m. Holy rosary branch, 499, L.C.B.A., sister branches and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.
