Johnson City, Tenn- Mrs. Mary Etter Sorrell, 80, died Wednesday in Colonial Hills Nursing Home after a long illness.

She was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina and had lived in Washington County for the past 20 years.

Surviving are her four daughters, Mrs. Roy H. Bennett and Dewey Howell of Johnson City, Mrs. Calvin Ward of Jonesboro and Mrs. Leonard Gibson of Oakridge, Tenn.; four sons, Howard Sorrell and David Sorrell, both of Bridgeport, Conn., Cloyd Sorrell of Williston, South Carolina and Woody Sorrell of Bristol, Tenn; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Chesser of Elizabethton, Tenn, and Miss Frankie Jarrett of Sacramento, California. *Source- Bristol Herald Courier, 10 Sep 1971, Fri ·Page 2
