Originally buried in the Spangler Cemetery on the right bank of Davis Creek on the property of J F McNeely in Campbell County. Burial removed to Bakers Forge Memorial Cemetery on April 10,1935 with the permission of a cousin Horace Bratcher of Mackinaw, Illinois for the construction of TVA's Norris Dam project.

A private in the Revolutionary War, Virginia line.

TVA lists birth year as 1741 and death year as 1821 other records show 1833. He was 71 when in 1832 he applied for a service pension.
