Mrs. Thurston 66 passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Medilodge of Clare following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Gladwin to William & Rose (Bessey) Anderson on October 12, 1949. Patsy worked for the Department of Agriculture in the Standish Office as a loan officer. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, the Gladwin Red Hats and OES White Clover Chapter 84. She was devoted to her family, and especially her children and grandchildren.

Surviving her are two daughters Tonda (Chris) Cole and Dawn (Noel) Harrison; grandchildren Gary Allan, Kaden Andrew, Cooper Donald, Haleigh, Cayla and Sarah; brother Jim (Karen) Anderson; a sister Barbara (Booth) Browne and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Allan Thurston, in 1981.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. J. Marcel Portelli presiding, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sisson Funeral Home. An OES memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, Patsy will lie in state at the church from 8:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
