The Edmonson County native was a retired construction worker, a farmer, a member of Oakland Lodge #563 F&AM and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Blane Johnson and Lucy Vincent Johnson and the husband of Willadean Lindsey Johnson, who survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia K. Johnson; six sisters, Marie Lindsey, Daphene Musick, Geraldine Vincent, Jewel Vincent, Fredia Vincent and Louise Roberts; and a brother, Walter Johnson.
Funeral will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday. Masonic services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday.
Also surviving are two daughters, three sons, 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
