Born Jan. 12, 1953, in Parkersburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of Allen and Mary Dulaney Currey of Silver Spring.
She was employed by the U.S. Navy, working with the human resources department.
She was a Catholic.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Andrew Gifford of Silver Spring; one brother, Richard Currey of Silver Spring; one sister, Jana Goss of Silver Spring; and two nieces, Asia Currey of Wichita, Kan., and Darby Currey of Silver Spring.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Taylor County. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Hilarion V. Cann.
