She was born August 24, 1927, in Petroleum, WV, the daughter of the late John Dulaney (1905-1952) and Alma Cain-Dulaney (1906-1928). She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Currey-Gifford (1953-1999) & her husband, Robert Nash Gifford (1938-2007).
Mrs. Currey is survived by her husband, Allen Eugene Currey (1925-2014) whom she married on March 5, 1949 in Bridgeport, Wood County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wood County, WV, 1949, Page 8, Application Date: February 26, 1949). She is also survived by a son, Richard A. Currey (B. 1949) of Silver Spring, MD; a daughter, Jana Sue Currey-Goss (B. 1956) of Silver Spring; and three grandchildren, Andrew Nash Gifford (B. 1974), Aja Currey and Darby Currey.
Mrs. Currey was a 1946 graduate of Cairo High School. She was a homemaker and cherished her children and grandchildren.
