Ruth Edde Hill, age 96 of Mulberry, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Lynchburg Nursing Center. A native of Moore County, she was born on February 24, 1920 to the late James and Mattie Durham Edde. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Hill; brothers, Jim Ed Edde and Hershel Edde; sisters, Mary Dixie Edde Walker, Kathleen Edde Walker, Betty Jo Edde Moore, and Lela Edde Cashion; daughter, Marjorie Joyce Hill Baits; and son-in-laws, Jim Thompson Lincoln and Billy W. Baits. She is survived by daughters, Imogene Hill Lincoln, Trixie Hill Harrison (Glen), and Sandra Jo Hill Bedford (William G.); grandchildren, Kristy Lincoln Rogers (Wade), Lori Lincoln Grizzell (Kenneth), Carrie Lincoln Rogers (Terry), Andy Hill Baits, Jeffery Glen Harrison (Sherry), Palo Edward Harrison (Lainie), Jared William Harrison (Kelly), James William Bedford (Holly), and LeEllen Ruth Bedford Carter (Chad); fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Tiny P. Edde Conley, Jean Edde Anderson, and Katie Edde Bell; brother, Jack Davis Edde; and special niece, Donna Bell Hereford (Brooke). Visitation will be 4-8 PM Saturday at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2016 in the Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Grizzell officiating. Interment will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery with Wade Rogers, Terry Rogers, Palo Harrison, Jared Harrison, Jim Bedford, Andy Baits, Chad Carter, Heath Rogers, Lincoln Rogers, and Issac Grizzell serving as pallbearers.
