Miss Abbie Alcorn, Owensburg native and aunt of Bedford insurance man Russell Johnson, died about 11:50 p.m. Sunday in a nursing home at Anderson following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Cornell-Bright Funeral Home in Pendleton. Graveside services and burial will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Owensburg Cemetery (Greene County). Miss Alcorn, about 70 years old, was born in Owensburg to the late John and Ella Alcorn, and had spent most of her life in Owensburg. She was never married and moved to Pendleton about 28 years ago where she made her home with a sister Blanche Holland. Survivors besides her sister and nephew Russ Johnson, is a niece in Lafayette and several nieces and nephews in Anderson and Detroit. Three sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
