Mrs Eads' father, William Bailey, removed from North Carolina to Indiana and located on a farm. He married Susan Trullinor, and six children were born to them: Levi, Delilah, Priscilla , Axa, Ruth and Jarrett. They removed from Indiana to Illinois and thence to southern Missouri, and finally to Monroe County, Iowa. Mr Bailey was a member of the "Campbellite" Church. He was a prosperous farmer and was much respected in the community where he lived.
