Ruby Irene Arms Scoggin, 91, widow of Warren G. “Coot” Scoggin, died July 3, 2016.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Roy Lee and Ethel Pittman Arms, she was a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Bible and Marlene Morgan (Steve) all of Greer; one son, Leslie Scoggin (Jane) of Spartanburg; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Scoggin was predeceased by one son, Warren Scoggin, Jr., two grandsons, Craig McCoy and Shane Scoggin, four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Tom Burns. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.

Honorary escort will be the Amazing Grace Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church Foundation for the Future, 1300 Locust Hill Road, Greer, SC 29651 or Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648-1178.
