One of the "Brothers Christopher" . This was the name the Founder, Father Paul gave them. Father Paul saw them as 'Bearers of Christ'. These were homeless men, who for what ever reason, didn't care to be known. In the early beginnings of The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement Order most men coming to St. Christopher's Inn were what society called 'Hoboes' then in the depression era you have men who were out of work, perhaps lost their home and marriage. In the 50's and 60's you find a majority battling alcohol and also in the 60's drug addiction rears it's head.
