A record from the city in which Charles was born stated year of birth 1896 not 1898 as Charles stated his year of birth. The actual place of birth was Kromolow located in the borough of Zawiercie a city in the Silesian Voivodeship of southern Poland. It is situated 25 miles S/E of Czestochova in the Krakow-Czestochowa Upland, Province of Kielce. The town lies near the historical region of Silesia, but belongs to Lesser Poland. Charles was a tailor, sold men's suits and owned his business at 8723 Pico Blvd. Los Angeles, California, on the north side of the street and just east of Wooster Street. Charles eventually sold the business to another tailor, which ran the store for many years later, then a salon nail shop and recently (2022) is Lieder's take out Kosher Deli. Charles & Eda were married in 1924, Chicago, Illinois. He came to the USA December 3, 1921 and was naturalized January 8, 1929. Charles died from hardening of the arteries at Clearview Sanitarium located 15823 Western Avenue in the City of Gardena, California and was their for a few years.
