Lorene Fleming Abbott, age 97 of Olney, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, in Olney.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.

Lorene was born Nov. 7, 1909, in Konawa, Okla., to the late Elmer and Ethel (Knight) Fleming. She and Oscar Abbott were married June 23, 1928, in Padgett, Texas. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1981. She later married Harry Hines on Jan. 4, 1983, in Clearwater, Fla. He also preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1991. She was employed as a nurse at the Hamilton Hospital from 1952 to 1979. Later she worked as a nurse's aid at Seven Oaks Nursing as well as a private sitter for many of the elderly members of the community. She was a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ and an Olney resident since 1927. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sharon Moody Brunson on Aug. 15, 1995; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Billie Jean Howe of Graham, and Lou Ann Hyles and husband Jimmy of Graham; one step daughter, Joan Miller and husband John of Olney; one sister-in-law, Gwen Fleming of Snyder, Texas; one cousin, Virginia Bruton of Throckmorton; three grandchildren, Geraldine Gilmore and husband Richard, Sandra Joyce and husband Stephen, and William F. Moody all of Graham; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Blair of San Angelo, Texas, Brandon Blair and wife Jamie of Wittenberg, Wisc., Leia Maness of Oklahoma City, Lindsey Joyce of Fort Worth, Texas, Garrett Gilmore of Graham, Kelsey Joyce of Lubbock, Texas, and Clayton Moody of Graham; four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
