Marlin Brock better known as "Pap", age 79 of Corbin, formerly of Knox County, was born on December 24, 1929 in Bell County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Will Brock and Delia Helton Brock. Mr. Brock died Friday, February 20, 2009 in the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was a foreman for the Aspens Tree Company before retiring. On July 10, 2000, he united in marriage to Judy Bingham.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Bingham Brock of Corbin; His sons, Marlin Kegley Jr. and wife, Rhonda of Garrison, Kentucky; Mickey Brock and wife, Donna; Ronnie Brock; Alvin Brock and wife, Sandy; Joey Brock and wife, Tammy all of Pineville; Marlin Brock Jr. and wife, Charlotte of Middlesboro; Scotty Gambrel and wife, Vicki and Jason Gambrel all of Flat Lick; his daughters; Angela Wolfgang and husband, Houston of Pineville; Diane Saylor and husband, Mickey of Bledsoe; Marie Hubbard and husband, Leonard of Arjay and Norma J. Napier and husband, Dean of Flagstaff, Arizona; his twenty-nine grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; his brothers; Arlin Pete Brock; Lewis Brock and wife, Georgia all of Pineville; sisters-in-law; Bonnie Bingham and Lorene Bingham both of Barbourville; dear friends; Terry and May Mills of Corbin. Mr. Brock was preceded in death by; a son; Bill Brock; a granddaughter; Autumn Noelle; a sister; Bessie Hockensmith and a daughter-in-law; Sue Ellen Brock.

Funeral Services for Marlin Brock will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, February 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Hammons and Rev. George Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the Gale Bingham Cemetery at Walker, Kentucky with Grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Sunday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
