Revis Clayton, 84, of Mexico, Mo., passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at his home.

Services will be at a later date in Mexico.

Rev was born March 17, 1932, in Sturgeon to Conard and Pauline Roberts Clayton.

On July 30, 1955, he married Margie Feger at St. Brendan’s Church in Mexico. He served in the U.S. Army during Korea. Afterward, he worked for Kaiser in Mexico for 37 years as a brick setter until he retired in 1993. He loved to spend time with his family and cars, and he was always happy to discuss politics.

He is survived by his wife, Margie; sons, John (Kathy) Clayton of Mexico and Joseph (Virginia) Clayton of Columbia; daughter, Jeanie Emerson of Mexico; brothers, Ronald of Fayette and Bill of Mexico; sister, Connie Beamer of Hannibal; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doyle Clayton; sister, Caroline Clayton; and grandson, Shaun Clayton.
