Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Joyce Nordquist Bartlett passed away June 24, 2016 after many years of enduring health problems. She was born June 26, 1938 in Salt Lake City to Frank and Viola Walker Nordquist and was raised in Garfield, UT. She married Richard “Bart” Bartlett September 14, 1956 in Magna, UT, where they celebrated nearly 60 years together.
Joyce worked many years for Garrett Freight Line. She was very friendly with everyone she met, and she truly enjoyed her friendships with her card partners at Bridge Club. She enjoyed traveling and cruising with her sister, Jackie and Chick. She was an avid sports fan and supported both the Cyprus and Taylorsville programs. She cherished her grandchildren and could always be seen attending each and every event they were involved in.
She is survived by her husband, Bart; daughters, Kit Catten and Stacey (Brooks) Jones; sister, Jackie (Chick) Hatch; grandchildren, Ashley (Elliot) Perfili; Tyler (BryAnn) Jones; Paxton (Sandi) Catten, Corbin Catten, and Taylor Jones; great grandchildren, Taylee & Tyton Jones,
Samuel Perfili, and Braxten and Thayer Catten. She is preceded in death by parents; and sister, Dee Hatch.
The family would like to thank Hearts for Hospice, Martha, Rachel, and Sarah for the loving care given.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., where viewings will be held Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11-11:45 a.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
