Bob Rogers was the second surviving son born to Thomas Pitts Rogers and Florence Virginia (Womack) Rogers. He was born in 1897 in what was then Chickasaw Indian Territory and was later Ada, OK. He moved with his family from Oklahoma seeking better farming land to Imperial Valley, CA. He met and married Flora Elizabeth Waldrip in 1915 in El Centro, Imperial Co., CA. This couple had one son and two daughters. By 1930 this family was living in Long Beach, CA where he worked in road construction. Several of his brothers and sisters had moved to Porterville, Tulare Co., CA and soon Bob and his family joined them. His wife, Flora, died in 1939 and is buried in the Woodville Cemetery near Porterville, CA where several others of the Rogers and Womack family members are interred. Bob moved back to Southern CA in his later years. He passed away in Riverside Co. in 1957. He is buried in the Elsinore Valley Cemetery in Block A,Lot 18, Grave 07.
