Mr. Alexander was born in Elk Neck, MD on August 9, 1926 to the late David G.W. and Susie A. Sharp Alexander.
Mr. Alexander retired as a self-employed carpenter working in MD and DE. He did subcontracting for Frank Rabino Builders for 25 years. He served in the U.S Army during World War II. He enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening, birds, and watching TV.
He is survived by 3 daughters; Diana J. Alexander of Clayton, DE, Delma Sue Lane of North East, MD, and Linda Irene Clugston of Chesapeake City, MD; 2 brothers, John Alexander of North East, MD, and Charles Alexander of Elkton, MD; 1 sister, Irene Morgan of North East, MD. He is also survived by grandsons he helped raise; John Randall Alexander of Clayton, DE and James Dean Alexander of Bear, DE, also 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Services 11 am Thursday, August 31, at CROUCH FUNERAL HOME, 127 S. Main St., North East, MD. Viewing 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Boyd B. Etter of North East United Methodist Church, North East, MD, will officiate.
Interment at North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD with full military honors by American Legion Mason Dixon Post, 194 Rising Sun, MD.
