A brilliant affair was the wedding of Mr. James Luke and Miss Mattie [sic] Sweat Sunday afternoon. they were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Sweat. Rev. J. F. Minchew performed the ceremony. Miss Sweat is an accomplished young lady and has a host of friends throughout this settlement. The groom is a young man of noble character and high standing. We hope for them a happy career through life.
