MRS. WOODARD, 76, DIES SUNDAY NIGHT

Mrs. George C. Woodard, 76, known to hundreds of friends as "Aunt Laura," died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the home of a niece, Mrs. A.B. Guice, in Grapeland, TX.

She was the mother of Grady Woodard, former Missouri Pacific employee here, and Ruel Woodard, also of Palestine. She was also a sister of the late Judge Ben J. Kennedy, who was serving as county judge here at the time of his death.

A native of Anderson county, Mrs. Woodard lived in Palestine for some 16 years, until about two months ago, when she moved to Grapeland.

Funeral arrangements are being held up pending the arrival of her son, Grady, who is on duty with the U.S. Navy at Davisville, Rhode Island.

The arrangements will be announced by the Bailey Funeral Home.

She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. M.W. Brooks, of Houston; niece, Mrs. Guice, and nephew, J.W. Collins, Grapeland.
