Born on September 29, 1931, in Chester, Georgia, Dollie was a beacon of love, gentleness, and faith throughout her life.

Dollie was the beloved matriarch of a large and loving family. She is survived by her grandchildren, Scarlett Cranford of Gray, Georgia, and Charles Abney of Bonaire, Georgia. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Brandon Spivey (Makayla) and Dalton Spivey (Jordan), both of Gray, and a great-great-grandson, Bennett Wade Spivey of Gray.

Dollie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Jones, her parents, William W. and Lillie Swann White, her daughter, Melody Abney Sargent, and her son, Robert Keith Abney.

Throughout her life, Dollie was dedicated to her career and her faith. She retired as a hairdresser, a job she enjoyed for many years. She then went on to work as a retail ordering specialist at Rose's Department Store. Dollie was also a devoted member of the Bradley Baptist Church, where she nurtured her faith and found a community of like-minded believers. She always looked forward to going to Sunday School and especially loved her Sunday School teacher, Linda.

In her later years, Dollie moved to Gray, Georgia to be close to her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She cherished the time she spent with them and always looked forward to their visits. It was during these times that Dollie's love for cooking shone brightest, as she would often prepare their favorite meals. Dollie was a woman who always put her family and others first, exemplifying selflessness and love in every action.

Dollie was a woman of many virtues, but those who knew her will remember her most for her loving nature, gentle spirit, and faith-filled life. She was a beacon of kindness and warmth in every life she touched, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the good fortune to know her.

Dollie's life was a testament to her strong faith and the love she had for her family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those she left behind. Her gentle spirit, loving nature, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire her family and all who knew her.

While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the long, fulfilling life she led and the precious memories she has left us. We remember Dollie not just for the love she had for her family, but also for the way she touched the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on through the love and kindness she shared throughout her life.

Rest in peace, Dollie. Your memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew you.
