Mrs. May Burns Muckelrath
Funeral services for Mrs. May Burns Muckelrath, 91, of Newton were held Wednesday, May 11, 3 p.m. from Webb Chapel with Rev. Bert and Vicki Gary and Rev. Howarad Lipps officiating. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery with Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Muckelrath died Tuesday, May 10, at Conva-Rest Nursing Home, Newton. She was a member of Newton United Methodist Church and a lift-time member of the United Methodist Women Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bebie Weir, Newton and Mrs. Whlhelmina Parnell, Thomasville, AL; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Gainey, and Miss Inez Burnes, both of Jackson; six grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Glenn Murphey, Johnny Stringer, John Weems, Chad Murphey, John Baxter Burns and Wilfred Muckelrath.
