Maria Kozo, 87 of Woodbridge passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

Born in Hungary, Maria immigrated to the United States and settled in Woodbridge, where she has been a resident since 1957. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Woodbridge as well as the Woodbridge Senior Group and Hungarian American Citizens Club in Woodbridge. Maria was an avid gardener, baker and cook who was adored by her many family members and friends; always greeting everyone with a smile and "hey Dolly."

Maria was predeceased by her husband in 2000, Frank Kozo and daughter in 2013, Magda Mallis. Surviving are her children, Miklos Kozo (Victoria) and Maria Pinto (Armando). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Frank, Jennifer and Anthony; great grandchildren, Ariella, Phoenix, Emmett and Gavin, three step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, as well as a son-in-law, John Mallis.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Entombment will follow at St. James Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
