LeRoy Vernon Sharp, 49,of 3720 Black Hwy., Adrian, died at 5:30 a.m. today at Herrick Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since April 14.
He was born June 8, 1928 in Tecumseh, to C. Vernon and Agnes (Lee) Sharp.
Mr. Sharp lived in Tecumseh until moving to Adrian in 1940. He attended Adrian High School and worked at Adrian Glass Company until purchasing the Lenawee Glass Company, 132 1/2 W. Chicago Blvd., Tecumseh, in 1965. He owned and operated Lenawee Glass until his retirement in March 1978.
On March 26, 1977, he married Nadine Starkey who survives.
Mr. Sharp was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 1034 Adrian and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1563, Tecumseh.
Besides his widow he is survived by three sons, Scott, Brian and Bradley Sharp, all of Tecumseh; two step-sons, Samuel and David Starkey, both of Tecumseh; one step-daughter, Mrs. James (Nancy) Dolman of Britton; two brothers, Weldon "Bud" Sharp of Tecumseh and Rober N. Sharp of Adrian; three sisters, Mrs. Elbert (Treva) Chandler of Adrian, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Hoover of Clinton and Mrs. Edward (JoAnne) Porter of Jasper and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Donald.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Proctor Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
