Delphia Stewart, daughter of James Stewart and Elizabeth Barnes, married Stephen Debord on 22 Jun 1829 in Pulaski Co., Kentucky. They had eleven children; James Stewart Debord b. 1830, George Washinton b. 1831, Sarah Jane b. 1832, Elizabeth b. 1833, Eli Farmer b. 1836, Catherine E. b. 1838, Mary A. b. 1840, Benjamin Franklin b. 1844, Stephen Arthur b. 1845, Daniel H. b. 1846, Thomas Jefferson Debord b. 1849.

DIED—At the American House, Afton, Iowa on February 5th, 1881, Mrs. Delpha DeBord, Aged 73 years and 4 months.
The remains of this much respected old lady was interred in the Afton cemetery on last Monday. She moved with the family from Kentucky, (her place of birth), to Iowa about 25 years ago, and has made her home in Afton the last 12 years of her life. The deceased has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. D. Babcock for the last 14 years. The funeral sermon will be preached at the Advent church next Sabbath. This old lady was well known and was highly respected by all. She was the mother of 9 children, who are all living, four of which were present at her death.
