Born in Ashland, Oct. 7, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Burns Scully.
Peggy was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Ashland, and St. Ann's Guild of the church.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School, Ashland, and Ashland School of Nursing, Fountain Springs, and worked at Martland City Hospital, Newark, N.J., and Ashland State Hospital, until retirement.
Surviving are two sisters, Eileen, wife of Daniel Weikel, Ashland, and Mary, wife of James Freed, Lavelle; a brother, Thomas M. Scully, Hatboro; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Girardville, with the Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, had charge of arrangements. Visit www.kullfuneral.com.
