Martha was born and raised on a cotton farm just west of Moody. After graduating from The University of Texas she taught at Killeen and in Grand Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Day Wright and Minne Myrtle Green. She lost her first husband, Albert Beerwinkle, in a fighter jet crash during the Korean War. She remarried in 1955 to Tom Marshall Fulbright, WWII veteran, who passed away in 2007.
She is survived by her three sons, Ben, Joe and Glenn Fulbright; and one granddaughter, Melissa Fulbright.
