Nettleton ‑ Carroll "Junior" Hunt, 76, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born August 19, 1939, to Carroll and Mamie Beard Hunt. Junior was a handyman for years. He loved to fish and collect.
Survivors include son, Mark Hunt (Melissa) of Shannon: four daughters, Jan Pierce (Robert) of Wren, Kathy Zappa (Jess) of Amory, Suzy Baugh of Aberdeen and Carol Seger (Ronald) of Wren; mother of his children, Retha Hunt; two sisters, Mary Frances Hunt Lee of Dorsey, and Polly South of Biloxi; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Larry Monaghan and Rev. Cecile Locke officiating. Burial will be in Andrew's Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, James Michael Baugh, Erick Sandlin, Jacob Zappa, Joshua Zappa, Matthew Ross and son-in-law, Robert Pierce.
