Obituary
Reba Carnell Landtroop Hancock, 91, Kansas City, Kansas passed away March 10, 2021 at The University of Kansas Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 11-12 PM, with a funeral service at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Stony Point Baptist Church, 7938 Barnett Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Carnell was born on March 12, 1929 in Athens, Alabama to Thomas Jackson Landtroop and Juanita Carnell Grisham. She got married in 1946, then moved to the Kansas City, Kansas area in 1952. She liked to cook, bake, work in her yard and her garden. She liked all kinds of flowers and plants. She loved to sew and crochet. She enjoyed making things for her friends and family. Carnell was a very proud mother and homemaker and was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church. She attended church every Sunday and enjoyed her bible study group.
Carnell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lester Hancock; and daughter, Phillis Ann Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Kay DeVault (Robbie) of Louisburg, Kansas; five grandchildren, Renee Allan (Scott) of Kansas City, Kansas, Melinda McIntyre (William), Philip Davis (Andrea) of Gardner, Kansas, Amanda Gonzalez (Calletano), Bobby DeVault of Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Judy Antrim of San Diego, California; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
