Mrs. Ella Isaacs Greer, 98, of 2799 Highway 421 North, Boone, died Friday morning, Nov. 3, 2006, at Glenbridge Health Care.
She was born March 9, 1908, in Watauga County, a daughter of the late William Smith and Myrtle Reece Isaacs.
Mrs. Greer was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Greene of Boone and Barbara Overby of Hickory; one son, Bill Greer and wife, Betsy, of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Debbie Miller and husband, Tom, Bill Greene and wife, Chris, all of Boone; Linda Jones and husband, Tim, of Hickory; Jana Greer of High Point and Jennifer Brewer of Jamestown; three great-grandchildren, Chad Greene of Boone, Danette Isaacs of Hickory and Kayla Brewer of Jamestown; and one sister, Madge Campbell of Zionville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Jefferson Greer; three sisters, Mae Beach, Wilma Greer and Madeline Watson; four brothers, Raymond, Arnie Franklin Isaacs, Dennis and Lloyd Isaacs; and one granddaughter, Lisa Kerley; and a son-in-law, William Lee Greene.
