Funeral services for Nick Fredrichsen, of Big Stone Township, were held Friday afternoon at the Tabor Evangelical United Brethren Church in Big Stone City. The Rev. O.A. Gehring officiated.

Mr. Fredrichsen's death the preceding Tuesday came as a great shock to his relatives and friends. He had been in his usual health when he was stricken by a heart attack as he and his brother, Albert, were working in the barn.

A resident of the Big Stone community for 46 years, he was making his home with his brother, Albert, at the time of his death. Born at Hubbard, NE, on January 11, 1890, he came to this county with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. August Fredrichsen, when he was 14 years old. He received his education in the rural Big Stone schools.

He is survived by five brothers and five sisters, Mrs. Gust (Anna) Schultz, Alma and Herman, all of Milbank; Fred, Albert, Martin, Frank, Mrs. Denver (Mathilda) Smith, Mary and Rose, all of the Big Stone community. Also surviving are 15 nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were his brothers, Fred, Herman, Albert, Martin and Frank, and Chris Diedricksen, a cousin.
