Alma lived with her brother Herman on a farm in Alban Township, Grant County, South Dakota for fifteen years. They moved to Milbank in 1951 upon Herman's retirement. He died in 1963. Alma continued to live in her home until entering Northridge Residence on June 15, 1998.
Alma worked as a salesperson and seamstress at Lorna's Dress Shop in Milbank for many years.
Alma's church affiliation was with the Central United Methodist Church in Milbank.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Anna, Matilda and twins Mary and Rose; and six brothers, Martin, Herman, Albert, Frank, Fred and Nicholas.
