Arline Fay Butterfield

Arline Fay Butterfield, age 83, died April 2, 2016 in Livermore, California. She was born February 18, 1933 in Walnut Creek, CA, the daughter of the late Ava and Gladys Luman, of Walnut Creek, CA.

Arline was a resident of Livermore for over 55 years.

She was a feature writer for the Valley Times in Pleasanton for 19 years. She also was a wonderful fine artist and art teacher. She wrote some freelance stories for The Independent newspaper.

She was a member of Mensa. She earned a Bachelor of Art Degree in Fine Art and Writing. She had a life time teaching credential.

Arline is survived by her sister Carolyn Luman Blanton, North Carolina; four Sons, Kean Butterfield, Shawn Butterfield, Adrian Butterfield, of Livermore, Scott Butterfield of Pacheco and one daughter Allison Butterfield Modifer of San Leandro; seven grandchildren Colin Hurley of Oakland, Spencer, Elijah and Charmienne Butterfield of Pacheco, Carine, Carson, Carley Butterfield of Livermore.

She was predeceased by her eldest son Jerry Butterfield (July 2014).

She is buried at Roselawn Cemetery, Livermore CA
